Eugene on Highway 101

After two beautiful days in good weather in Eugene (Oregon) Today I arrived back at sea. Eugene, Burley and the home of Bike Friday, Rollergirls, good beer from micro breweries in the many, delicious food, nice cafes, Many cycling, Seniors with dreadlocks, Eugene is a livable city with a vibrant culture- and arts scene. Here I was a guest of Laura and Aaron on Warmshowers, the ingenious network for cyclists.

On the coast there are few private places to stay and I've even unpacked my tent, am today but for the first time in a motel (Coos Bay) untergeschlüpft, because my clothes were soaked through after two very wet tent stakes. This morning I am surrounded by heavy rains of frogs, Snails and worms woke up in a marsh – Fortunately my tent is tight – But things do not dry anymore.

Oregon – It is uncomfortable

after strong winds from the south I have now my milestone Eugene, from Salem, not achieved and only came to Corvalis. Luckily it was dry, but on level ground with some 10 km entlangzukriechen after several hours of driving slightly unnerving.
